Science Club
Discover the wonder of science in our Science Explorers Club, designed especially for Key Stage 1 children! Each week, young scientists will develop a love of science through exciting, hands-on experiments that spark curiosity and creativity.
Children will explore reactions, forces, and materials, learning how the world around them works through fun, practical investigations. It’s a chance to ask questions, make discoveries, and experience the joy of science in action!

This week in Science Club, we explored how sound waves work. We learned how sound travels through the air and makes our ear bones move so we can hear. To demonstrate this, we placed salt on cling film stretched over a speaker and watched the vibrations make the salt jump.
After that, we investigated the strength of paper by designing and building paper bridges—then Godzilla came to test how strong they were!
Next week, we’ll be creating junk-model bridges to see if they can hold even more weight.
