Pre- teach sessions

Between 8.20am-8.40am, we offer pre-teach sessions to children in Year 3 and 4. During these sessions we will be teaching the children the concepts and skills prior to a lesson on the subject, or addressing a previous misconception they may have had in a lesson. The idea is to give the student a 'preview' or a 'review' of a lesson that will allow them to evaluate and extend their knowledge during future lessons. Pre-teaching is a tool that provides children with more knowledge and confidence when approaching a new topic which helps to increases engagement and reduce frustration. Your child will receive a letter if they have been invited to these sessions. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you have any questions.
