Consultation on Admission Arrangements 2020/21

We are currently consulting on our admission arrangements 2020/21.

Please find below our proposed admissions arrangements 2020/21 for consultation.

Queen Emma's Primary School Admissions 2020/21 - Consultation Draft

Please note the main changes as follows:-

  • Admission number (page 3) second paragraph referring to in-year admissions
  • Admission criteria (page 3)
  • Point 2 -  referring to oversubscription criteria.
  • Point 3 - referring to children with an exceptional medical or social need
  • Point 4 - referring to children of staff employed at the school
  • Repeat applications (page 6)
  • Appendix A (page 9) refer to multiple applications

The proposed change reflects new advice issued by the Department for Education about amending admission policies, whereby the Minister of State for School Standards wishes all Admission Authorities in England to introduce a new over-subscription criterion to give second highest priority to children who were previously in state care outside England (e.g. adopted after being looked after by a public authority, a religious organisation or another provider of care whose sole purpose is to benefit society).

The consultation is open from Tuesday 4 December 2018, finishing on Tuesday 15 January 2019.   If you have any comments regarding the arrangements, please contact Nichola Stretton, The MILL Academy Chief Finance Officer via
