Daily Mile

At Queen Emma's we take part in the Daily Mile. The Daily Mile is a fully-inclusive, free and simple initiative which improves the physical, mental health and wellbeing of our children, regardless of age, ability or personal circumstance.

The Daily Mile has been acknowledged for reducing childhood obesity and recognised within the UK Government’s 2018 Childhood Obesity Strategy. The impact can be transformational – improving not only the children’s fitness, but also their concentration levels, mood, behaviour and general wellbeing.

At Queen Emma’s children and staff run, jog or walk at their own pace for 15 minutes on our Daily Mile track. The aim is to complete 13 laps or as many as possible.

See www.thedailymile.co.uk for more formation.
